I'm a low budget guy so for those of you who have a lot of cash to spend on knives please dismiss my review, but I've long been a fan of Cold Steel products and couldn't wait to get a hold of the Voyageur XL Vaquero. In terms of "wow" value, this is about as impressive a folder imaginable. I've invited a couple of my friends over to see it and they're very surprised by its ergonomic handle along with just how much they don't want to put it down after I place it into their hands. This is the first Tri-Ad lock knife I've ever owned and this feature is a real plus in my estimation. I don't see the lock ever jeopardizing my hand or anything else for that matter. Overall, this was an excellent purchase. Now on to the Espada or a comparable Syderco model.

Great knife, very large blade and the lock is practically unbreakable, scary sharp, everything you can ask for. Too big to be an Every Day Carrier. Everything you expect in a Cold Steel knife, Quality and Price.

Like every other Cold Steel knife, this one is deadly sharp like a surgeon's scalpel. The point is wicked also, it's penetrating abilities are amazing. I placed the point against the center of a large roll of industrial paper towells and wih just moderate force I pushed the blade straight in up to the hilt of the handle! this is just from pushing, not stabbing hard like one would do in a self defence situation. This is a DAMN good knife and the price here on Amazon is great too.
