This knife is, for the most part a good folding knife that you can use for self-defense. It comes sharp out of the box, easy to deploy and fits very comfortably in the hand. The tanto blade, of course, is great at penetrating, but it also slashes very well with the bottom point of the knife. Since a tanto is not the best slicer, the serrations help cut through coarse fibers.
Pros.
1. sharp
2. easy to deploy
3. good ergonomics
4. good penetration
5. hard handle (bottom point can be used as a pummel)
6. great locking mechanism (no play in the knife)
Cons.
1. Finish of the blade
2. Clip (too stiff)
3. No jimping
4. Would like a notch on the top of the blade for wave opening

Great steel, great edge, great knife. Can't say anything bad about these guys and the prices are awesome. Thing is hair shaving sharp and holds an edge really well. It feels great in my hands held in any orientation. I love the look of the blade too.

Like most of my reviews, I'll keep it short. This knife is awesome. Lg model is perfect, although I do have big hands. It's made from quality steel and comes crazy sharp out of the box, a common trait from cold steel. Whether you use the thumb stud or flick the opening action is very smooth. The feel of the knife is fantastic, one of the sturdiest most solid built knives I've come across. Comes in a few blade styles. I went with the tanto and love it, which is odd because I really am not a fan of tanto style blades. Bottom line is, you will not be disappointed.
