The blade on this knife is not full tang, and rattles when the handle makes an impact, blade is not loose, but is clearly not solidly joined to the hilt. I reckon it is prone to break off eventually. Cheap 420 surgical steel blade is thin and delicate, not a very good factory edge on it, however, blade is hollow ground so it can take a razor edge should it be desired. The handle is superb, feels good in the hand, and is lethal. If the blade breaks, I still got a nasty knuckle duster! Sheath is ok too, all steel with plastic inner lining, but leather button strap is crap. Knife is for display and play, not battle.

This is a very nice replica of the 1918 trench knife. I had a Captain in the Corps that had one mounted on a plaque for service in Lebanon back in the early 80's and always wanted one. Scares the wife so I told her it is a letter opener!

Good buy if you want a knife to use outdoors. I bought so the real one in our family would be safe.
